"Women, Peace and Security in the Context of Climate Change"

The Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates, UN Women and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, hosted a panel discussion on “Women, Peace and Security in the Context of Climate Change,” on Thursday, January 15. Panelists include Ambassador Lana Nusseibeh of the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN, Lakshmi Puri of UN Women, Jeffrey Sachs of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Susan Markham of USAID, and Eleanor Blomstrom of the Women's Environment and Development Organization. This was the third panel discussion in a Panel Series on Women, Peace and Security, hosted by the UAE and its partners, in support of the Global Study on the Implementation of Security Council resolution 1325 (2000).
