The Institute hosted a breakfast roundtable with Major General Kristin Lund. Major General Lund served as the first-ever female Force Commander of a UN Peacekeeping mission, commanding UNFICYP (UN Mission in Cyprus) from 2014 to 2016. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Head of Veteran Affairs for the Norwegian Defence Staff. Major General Lund spoke about her role as Force Commander at Cyprus and how she worked to integrate UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace & Security into the mission.
