To coincide with the release of new research entitled “Women and Climate Change: Impact and Agency in Human Rights, Security, and Economic Development,” the Institute hosted a high-level discussion on women and climate change. UN Special Envoy for Climate Change and President of the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice Mary Robinson delivered keynote remarks, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Amb. Verveer with Robinson, former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, and CEO of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves Radha Muthiah. Rachel Kyte, World Bank Special Envoy for Climate Change, gave closing remarks.
