The Institute for Women, Peace and Security has partnered with the Women in the World Foundation to sponsor an on-campus discussion with an influential Kenyan activist as part of the Foundation’s Women in the World On Campus Speaker Series. Kakenya Ntaiya, an inspirational activist internationally recognized for her efforts to create peace and prosperity in Kenya through education, dialogue, and empowerment opportunities for women, will participate in an individual interview as well as answer questions from students and faculty. The event will showcase the effort on the part of the Women in the World Foundation to create a global network of young women leaders, as well as the effort on the part of the Institute for Women, Peace and Security to highlight stories of successful female leadership in peacemaking.
