Profiles in Peace: Oral Histories Project

The Profiles in Peace project formally captures best practices and lessons learned, and shares stories that often go untold or unrecorded. These videos serve as a tool for research, training, bridge-building and recording. To date, interviews have been conducted with more than 75 leaders from across the globe, including:

  • Mari Skare - NATO Special Representative of the Secretary General for Women, Peace and Security

  • Monica McWilliams - Northern Irish peace activist, scholar and negotiator of the Good Friday Agreements

  • Muhammad Yunus - Founder of the Grameen Bank and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate

  • Hawa Abdi - Somali human rights activist, physician and founder of the Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation

  • Ellen Johnson Sirleaf - President of Liberia and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
