Profiles in Peace: Oral Histories Project

The Institute’s goal in undertaking Profiles in Peace: Oral Histories Project is to collect unique, first-hand interviews from women and men who are leaders in optimizing the agency of women, peace, security and post-conflict reconstruction. These filmed narratives are an example of the Institute’s primary data collection. The final videos, featuring the interviewee as well as relevant inserted multimedia content such as accompanying news clips or photographs, will be made publicly accessible via the online repository.

The Profiles in Peace project is an opportunity to formally capture best practices and lessons learned, in an easily distributable and interactive format, and thereby share stories that often go untold or unrecorded.  Videos are meant to serve as a tool for research, training, bridge-building and recording.
