Leading experts discussed the importance of strong and inclusive justice systems as critical to sustainable development and peace in post-conflict settings. Panelists considered strategies for increasing women’s meaningful participation in the justice sector and improving the implementation of gender-sensitive legislation, as well as shared lessons learned from contexts and interventions that have effectively increased access to justice and legal empowerment for women. They also addressed additional challenges posed by COVID-19 and areas for priority action.
