Event Overview
United Women of the Horn and GIWPS hosted a workshop to empower women’s political participation, strengthen positive connections in the African diaspora, and build understanding of effective leadership in democratic institutions. The workshop included briefings from women leaders, interactive breakout sessions, and panels of experts on democratic institutions.
Co-hosted by the United Women of the Horn, Bureau of African Affairs at the US State Department, and Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security.
