MEDIA ADVISORY: Hillary Rodham Clinton to Honor “Women Safeguarding Democracy” at Georgetown Ceremony

WHAT: Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will shine a spotlight on women who are safeguarding democracy through mobilization and media initiatives during the annual Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards Ceremony at Georgetown University. 

The event will honor the courage, strength, and determination of women around the world who are standing up for democratic values and making their voices heard.

The Hillary Rodham Clinton awards are bestowed annually by Secretary Clinton and Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) for exceptional leadership in promoting women’s rights and creating a more peaceful and secure world for all.

  • Representatives of The Women Student Protest Leaders of Bangladesh

Following the program, speakers will answer questions from Georgetown students. There will not be media Q&A.
