Implementing the Women, Peace and Security Resolutions in Security Sector Reform
Abstract
This guide is part of a multi-section toolkit that aims to follow the actual terms of the United Nations’ women/peace/security resolutions, in order to point to exact provisions that require action and provide recommendations for how to best undertake that action. Specifically, it includes an introduction Security Sector Reform (SSR), a comphrehensive overview of women’s participation in SSR processes, and how each of the UN’S women/peace/security resolutions relates to defense, police, and judicial sector reform.
