The distinguished panel discussed why these linkages matter and strategies for advancing this agenda in the policy arena, as well as through innovative practice and investments. This event marked the launch of two important reports: “Gender, Climate and Security: Sustaining Inclusive Peace on the Frontlines of Climate Change” – a groundbreaking policy report by UNEP, UN Women, UNDP and DPPA – and GIWPS’ report “Women Building Resilient Cities in the Context of Climate Change: Lessons from Sierra Leone.”
