Tiyandza Mngomezulu
Tiyandza Mngomezulu is a Master of International Development Policy candidate at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. As a Graduate Research Assistant at GIWPS, she contributes to the Institute’s Conflict Tracker and climate security portfolios, supporting research that examines how conflict and climate pressures affect women across different contexts.
Tiyandza’s experience spans policy research, international affairs, and local government, including work with Women Employed, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and KAM Corporate. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Theatre, with a minor in Urban Studies, from Lake Forest College. Originally from The Kingdom of Eswatini, Tiyandza brings to GIWPS a perspective shaped by her experiences across Southern Africa and by her interest in the economic dimensions of women’s security, agency, and resilience.
