GIWPS, together with the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations and the WFUWO Anti-GBV Commission, held a CSW68 parallel event convening international experts on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) and addressing the global security consequences of the failure to confront rape and sexual violence as weapons of war.
Former POW and Ukrainian activist, Lyudmyla Huseynova, urged the international community to pay attention to the plight of incarcerated women in Russia-occupied territories and highlighted cases of forced passportization, coerced confessions, and daily abuse the women endure.
