Join us for an expert-led roundtable on the practical implementation and long-term viability of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) will convene a roundtable discussion, bringing together leading experts in security and conflict analysis to examine the practical implementation and long-term viability of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. By bridging the gap between high-level geopolitics and technical verification, the discussion will explore how Armenia’s democratic breakthroughs and regional security architecture influence its sovereignty in a post-polarity world. The panel will also examine often-overlooked gender dynamics and how women’s inclusion and societal resilience can shape the sustainability of peace in the South Caucasus. Designed for the Georgetown community, this informal roundtable will allow students and scholars to engage in a conversation beyond the headlines and analyze the hard lessons learned from decades of conflict and the evolving prospects for a secure, integrated South Caucasus.
