Current and former leading diplomats joined in a conversation on how to ensure a diverse diplomatic corps in the U.S. State Department. They discussed growing shortcomings in the U.S. State Department in achieving equity and inclusion throughout its ranks, shared strategies for improving recruitment, retainment and advancement of diverse personnel, and provided recommendations for realizing a State Department that better represents the United States.
