Anna Tuohey

Project Officer

Anna Tuohey is a Project Officer on the Research Team. She currently leads the Women, Peace and Security Conflict Tracker, monitoring and analyzing 27 conflict-affected contexts through a gender-sensitive lens. She has contributed to a number of GIWPS research products, including research on women’s role in mediation and negotiation, and WPS analysis of climate-security, emerging technology, and global conflict trends. During her time at GIWPS, Anna has traveled to Colombia, Kosovo, and the Philippines to engage with key partners and stakeholders across government, civil society, and academia. Before joining GIWPS, Anna served in the Biden-Harris White House as a Policy Coordinator & Special Assistant to the U.S. Domestic Policy Advisor. She holds a degree in International Security Norms and Cooperation with a minor in Middle East Studies and Arabic from the University of Michigan, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
