Rebecca Turkington

Hillary Rodham Clinton Oral History Project Fellow

Dr. Rebecca Turkington is a postdoctoral fellow on the Hillary Rodham Clinton Oral History Project. She holds a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on international women’s organizing and colonialism. Before training as a historian, Rebecca spent nearly a decade working in global gender policy, including as Assistant Director of the Women and Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations, a founding staff member and Program Manager of GIWPS, and at the National Democratic Institute. She has a MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a BA from Wellesley College. Her writing on gender, foreign policy, and security has been published widely in both academic and popular outlets.
