National Action Plan on Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 & 1820 (2011-2016)
Abstract
The overall objective of the National Action Plan is to contribute to achieving the supreme goal of the Nepali people for establishing durable peace and just society. It mainly covers five pillars: participation, protection and prevention, promotion, relief and recovery, and resource mobilization and monitoring and evalutation. The National Action Plan is based on the existing national and international instruments promoting and protecting the policy related to women’s rights and gender equality. This National Action Plan prepared for the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820 is a document that has come with the highest commitment of the Government of Nepal.
