Summary

This report reflects on six agreements from the Asia-Pacific region over the last 20 years. However, the analysis is of global relevance since the themes, types of clauses and language of these agreements are found in most peace processes elsewhere. The report discusses the following themes: power-sharing, resource-sharing, security arrangements, access to justice, and monitoring. It poses recommendations for improvement in the language in post-conflict agreements and peace documents.
