Writing Women Back into History: Profiles in Peace

The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS), in partnership with the Georgetown University Library, launched the GIWPS Profiles in Peace Oral History collection featuring women peacebuilders and celebrated projects that elevate women’s stories by Women’s Media Center and National Geographic. We discussed new initiatives that highlight women’s narratives and agency through media and had a robust discussion about how to effectively write women back into history – and ensure that they aren’t excluded moving forward.
