S.3247 – Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act of 2018
Summary
On January 9, 2019, the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act became law. This new law helps women improve their lives, their family’s prospects, and their community’s stability by improving their access to economic resources and increased decision-making power. Women’s ability to participate in the economy and control resources creates long-term changes that help women become self-sufficient, generate income, and escape poverty. When women lift themselves out of poverty, they pull their families and communities up with them.
