This report summarizes the outcome of a conference aimed at enhancing the role of women lawmakers in Afghanistan’s political processes. It highlights the crucial needs to involve women in ongoing peace and stabilization efforts in Afghanistan, and surveys the greatest challenges to their involvement in the country’s political processes. It also provides numerous concrete recommendations for how Afghanistan can improve the involvement of female lawmakers.
