This paper is intended as a broad guide to issues involving men and boys in the promotion of gender equality. It cites recent international research on masculinities, men and boys, and also cites useful discussions of the policy questions involved. In the light of these discussions the paper identifies current tasks for gender equality policy and suggest a policy framework for incorporating men and boys.
