Algerian Freedom Fighter Zohra Drif
Zohra Drif is a recently retired Vice-President of the Algerian Senate. In an earlier era, she was a key activist in her people’s struggle for liberation from the grip of French colonialism. Her book, Inside the Battle of Algiers, recounts her role in bringing urban guerilla warfare into the heart of the Algerian capital’s French quarters.
Mme. Drif spoke at Georgetown University as part of a partnership between GIWPS, CCAS and other SFS programs.
