This event launched a new GIWPS climate report, “Inclusive Adaptation: A Benefit Multiplier for Climate Action and Women, Peace and Security.” GIWPS experts highlighted key findings from the report and demonstrated how meaningful inclusion of women in local-level climate adaptation efforts can multiply benefits by strengthening climate response, gender equality, and security.
In particular, the conversation focused on local level adaptation in the agriculture and energy sectors. Panelists, including grassroots women climate leaders, highlighted how inclusive approaches to local-level climate adaptation can accelerate progress toward gender equality and create a more secure environment for all.
