Advancing Women’s Participation in Post-Conflict Reconstruction

In 2019, GIWPS and the Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the UN launched a joint-initiative through a series of panel discussions and a research project which aims to advance and operationalize inclusive approaches to post-conflict reconstruction. The work investigates ways to expand the role of women in key areas of post-conflict reconstruction: governance and political participation; economic recovery and climate resilience; the justice sector and rule of law; and security sector reform.
