Marina Pisklakova-Parker is a Russian women’s rights activist and the founder and chair of the board of ANNA (National Center for the Prevention of Violence), which coordinates a network of 150 organizations working to combat gender-based violence in Russia. She created the first domestic violence hotline to report domestic abuse in Russia, and has since developed violence prevention training programs for law enforcement, judges, and prosecutors, and advocated for policy changes. Pisklakova-Parker also raises public awareness about the issue of violence against women in Russia.
