Oleksandra Matviychuk is a human rights lawyer and recipient of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.

Oleksandra Matviychuk is a Kyiv-based human rights lawyer and Chairwoman of the 2022 Nobel Prize winning organization, The Center for Civil Liberties. An active civil society leader in Ukraine, she campaigns for the promotion of the values of human rights, democracy and solidarity in Ukraine, in addition to democratic reforms within the OSCE. In 2021, she was nominated to the United Nations Committee against Torture on a platform of reducing violence against women in conflict. She has also authored numerous reports to international organizations and various submissions to the International Criminal Court. For her work, Matviychuk has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the Democracy Defender Award from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Sjur Lindebrakke Prize for Democracy and Human Rights from the Kingdom of Norway.
