This event was hosted by Norway, the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, and PRIO.
This session provided opportunities for stakeholders to discuss progress and remaining challenges in advance of the 20th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Topics discussed include critical gaps in the advancement of women’s inclusion, access to justice, and security; the drivers of recent gains and losses in country rankings; what people can learn from the sub-national analysis for China, India, and Nigeria; and how the results and rankings can be used to enhance accountability and accelerate progress in the run-up to the anniversary of UNSCR 1325.
