Hillary Rodham Clinton presented four Colombians with the Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for advancing women in peace and security during a ceremony at Georgetown hosted by GIWPS. Secretary Clinton’s remarks were part of an annual Hillary Rodham Clinton awards ceremony hosted by GIWPS. Prior to her remarks, we played this video to explain how women were involved in Colombia’s historic peace agreement. The awards went to Humberto De la Calle, Maria Paulina Riveros, Elena Ambrosi, and Jineth Bedoya, each of whom played a crucial role in shaping the Colombian peace deal.
