New Voices for Peace: On the Occasion of the 2024 UN Security Council Open Debate on Women, Peace and Security

Tuesday, October 22, 2024
4:00 – 6:00 p.m. EST
Our livestream will begin at 4:10 p.m.

This event, held on the sidelines of the WPS Open Debate, aims to raise visibility for the challenges faced by women and girls in conflict-affected regions, secure commitments to address gaps in UNSCR 1325 implementation, and expand collaboration between policymakers, global women leaders, and peacebuilders. As we approach the 25th anniversary of UNSCR 1325, the event will amplify the voices of peacebuilders, highlighting key priorities, gaps, and actionable opportunities for advancing the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda.
