The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security hosted a conversation on December 5, 2019 on the findings of the WPS Index 2019-20, which ranks 167 countries on women’s comprehensive wellbeing and analyzes trends in gender equality.
The WPS Index is the most comprehensive ranking of women’s well-being around the globe, capturing three key dimensions of women’s well-being: inclusion, justice, and security. The second edition of the WPS Index includes several major innovations, including expanded coverage to 167 countries and assessment of data at the subnational level. Trends over time reveal important drivers of progress as well as major areas of concern.
