Mobile Phone Technologies as an Opportunity for Women’s Financial Inclusion

This research—which will be published as a chapter in the upcoming volume Technology and Women’s Empowerment—considers the relationship between digital financial services and advancing women’s financial inclusion, especially in developing economies. The chapter outlines the connections between women’s financial inclusion, mobile phone use, and economic empowerment, and reviews evidence about how to successfully overcome the gaps.
