Student Research Assistant

The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) is looking to engage a current Georgetown student to assist in providing support for research on conflict-related sexual violence, international interventions, and sanctions. 

The Research Assistant (RA) will work on a variety of tasks related to the research project: comprehensive literature reviews, qualitative data analysis, transcriptions, drafting, etc. 

The RA will work with and be supervised by the GIWPS Postdoctoral Research Fellow Robert Nagel. 

The expected wage for this work will be commensurate with experience and will be between $15.20 and $19.89/hour. The expected start date is as soon as possible and the expected end date is March 31, 2022.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have excellent research skills, a background or demonstrated interest in conflict-related sexual violence, international interventions, United Nations work, sanctions, and a deep interest in exploring the different facets of gender in conflict-affected settings.
  • The RA will be expected to work 15- 20 hours a week.
