We are excited to offer two student writing awards: the Gendered Security Policy Essay Award and the Gender, Peace and Security Certificate Student Research Award. Submissions will open in November 2023 and close in June 2024.
Gendered Security Policy Essay Award
This award aims to encourage and recognize an outstanding policy-focused essay addressing gendered dimensions of peace and conflict authored by a graduate student in the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area. Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from one of the Consortium Universities within the 2023-2024 academic year.
Gender, Peace and Security Certificate Student Research Award
This award aims to encourage and recognize outstanding work by Gender, Peace and Security certificate students. Certificate students may submit research papers that explore the gendered dimensions of international relations, conflict, and peacebuilding. To apply, students must be enrolled in Georgetown’s Gender, Peace and Security graduate certificate program or have earned the Certificate in the 2023-2024 academic year.
