This research—supported by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation—aims to measure the wellbeing of women in all fifty states of the United States. Our results will illuminate key patterns and disparities in women’s status across different geographic locations, racial groups, and socioeconomic classes. The ultimate goal of this index is to inform dialogue among decision-makers and the broader public in order to advance progress for women’s equality in the United States. The report will be available in October 2020.
