Georgetown University is the largest feeder school into the U.S. Foreign Service. When Secretary of State Tillerson announced a freeze on entry-level career positions, it affected Georgetown alumni and others who had been selected as prestigious Pickering or Rangel Fellows. Many of our colleagues at Georgetown advocated for the Department of State to reverse its policy—and Secretary Tillerson did.
