Abstract

This article examines how the Northern Ireland Women's Coalition helped promote inclusion of Northern Irish women in the Parliament and other national structures. It discusses how a history of gender discrimination has shaped political processes and exclusion of women (especially Northern Irish women) from decision-making roles in the UK.
