Executive Summary
The government has released both the 2011‐2012 and 2012‐2013 reports on Canada’s Action Plan for the Implementation of the United Nation Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace and Security. Improvements in the quality of reporting and amount of information provided can be seen and are appreciated. Consistent reporting on achievements and gaps, how gaps are being addressed, explanations provided on why indicators have not been met or why gaps remain, as well as transparent communication and clear information on dedicated funding for WPS initiatives will be looked for in the mid‐term review and subsequent reports.
