Executive Summary

The paper addresses the key principles activities on women, peace and security have to be based on, and the challenges and opportunities in implementing the UNSC Resolutions in the regional context, based on the main findings of the needs assessment on gender and security sector reform in Serbia, a joint initiative by the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE), the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), published in September 2010.
