Integrating UNSCR 1325 and Gender Perspectives in the NATO Command Structure Including Measures for Protection During Armed Conflict
Summary
This Bi-Strategic Command directive implements within NATO military oganisations the policies contained in the UNSCR 1325 on women, peace and security of 31 October 2000. The guidance contained in this directive augments national action plans that may already be in existence and is to be used as part of the education and training programmes described in Bi-SC Directive 75-2, Education, Training, Exercise, and Evaluation Directive (Bi-SC ETEED), dated 12 December 2006. To further interoperability, this directive is consistent with current standards and action plans for international military forces organized and directed by the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping (DPKO) and the European Union (EU).
