Executive Summary

At the 15-year anniversary of IMAGES (International Men and Gender Equality Survey), UNFPA and Equimundo published the largest ever global study on men, masculinities, and gender equality.

IMAGES focuses on crucial gender equality issues, such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, reproductive labor and participation in caregiving, and fatherhood and has used this evidence to drive and inform government policy at a local and global levels. Equimundo (formerly Promundo) and ICRW developed the IMAGES surveys, which have been implemented extensively with partners, including UNFPA, to conduct in depth research, with the participation of over 67,000 men and women across 32 countries.
