National Plan of Action for Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution No. 1325/2000
Abstract
The Chilean Government launched its NAP in 2009 to be implemented in an unspecified period. Development of the NAP was led by the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Ministry of National Defense, and National Women’s Service. Few civil society organizations were involved during the development, but the lead agents did bring together many government and academic institutions. Chile does not have a recent history of armed conflict, and as such, its NAP is mostly focused nationally at mainstreaming women’s involvement in decision-making.
