Opportunities and Challenges for Women in Diplomacy
Abstract
This speech addresses the role of women in diplomacy in modern times, and provides a number of facts regarding their overall status in states’ diplomatic corps. It emphasizes the importance of improving access to education for women in order to increase their diplomatic profile, and highlights how women bring a very unique and significant influence to preventive diplomacy– but are not yet being used enough to fill diplomatic roles.
