Women, Peace and Security in Post-Conflict and Peacebuilding Contexts
Summary
The report explains that while post-conflict peacebuidling settings open major windows of opportunity to advance gender equality, a gender perspective has yet to be effectively operationalized in such contexts. Specifically looking at gaps in the political-economic-security nexus of peacebuilding, this report shows how the ineffective operationalization of gender mainstreaming initiatives actually reinforces structural gender inequity.
