Abstract

This note examines the legal treatment, or lack thereof, of gender-based war crimes throughout the latter half of the twentieth century. Specifically, this note argues that these crimes should be prosecuted, not only because of the harm they cause society as a whole, but because of the resulting victimization of and injury to women.
