Ferris examines the roles women can play in peace processes, examining eight specific topics: 1. Women as Peacemakers; 2. Women on the Sidelines of International Politics; 3. Women and Violence; 4. Women and Peace; 5. Maternal Thinking; 6. Women Organizing for Peace and Change; 7. Women and Nonviolence; 8. Women’s Rights and Social Transformation.
