Summary
In the aftermath of the 2011 uprisings, the new Egypt converted the fervor of revolutionary change into the civil liberties of a new constitutionalism. This article explores the 2012 re-constitution of the existing power structure, which involved a glimmer of gender equality within a newfound political order.
